Phineas was born in Hood River and grew up in the Heights, surrounded by what was once fields, wetlands and orchards. His grandmother, Betty Short was a household name in Gorge Real Estate in the 1980’s and 90’s. Through her example, Phineas learned the fundamentals of the industry: constant hard work, kindness to all, great networking and attentiveness.

After the past decade working in the food service industry as a barista, sushi chef, and restaurant/café/brewery manager, Phineas decided it was time to follow his true calling in Real Estate. That decision came in part after his own efforts to purchase his first home with his wife Taylor. The low inventory and high prices made him realize just how many people had discovered the Gorge in the years since his childhood! Motivated by his own buying experience and a desire to live and work in his hometown, Phineas decided to help people on the same quest.

“My passion for Gorge Real Estate is deeply instilled in me. It started when I was a kid, riding in the back seat of my grandparent’s truck as they drove throughout the Valley, putting up and taking down For Sale signs. My grandmother’s passion for Real Estate shined and she made a huge mark by selling Real Estate combining great skill, kindness, and character. I was young at the time, but over the years, I saw that the purpose of a Realtor was to help individuals and families make the best situation for themselves as possible.

I am just entering my second year as a licensed Realtor, and I am proud to be using my skills, resources and connections within this Valley to truly help people and leave a positive impact with my clients.“
