An evening conversation with the other friends in the Hood River marketplace have yielded the latest tidbits.

1. The Budget deficit in Hood River is overblown. The City manager has a plan that will work that will rebalance the City budget in the next three years.

2. There is more development on the Westside scheduled for next year. Add another 50-100 lots to my original estimate of 160…..

3. Walmart rumors abound. Stay tuned.

4. Oh, One of our projects, Celilo, is going to be mentioned in Food and Wine’s May issue. Men’s Journal will also feature Hood River in an article tenatively titled ” the 50 greatest towns in America”
